Lead Data Analyst

Kyiv, Ukraine

Lead Data Analyst

Esports Charts is a Ukrainian product IT company that develops services in the field of eSports analytics.

We collect viewing statistics of all live broadcasts in the world and create unique analytics based on this.

Esports analytics is not gambling, betting or slots. This is forecasting the number of views and the audience of the next Major, as well as finding out who has a larger and better audience - ibai or auronplay

A few facts about us:

— We provide statistics to teams, tournament aggregators and game publishers from all over the planet
— We work with tables of more than 100 billion rows, filling them with data from 29 platforms and we do it quickly
— Most of the detailed statistics about streaming on the Internet appear in our office
— Our flagship projects: streaming statistics — streamscharts.com and esports statistics — escharts.com

————————————————————————————————————————

We are looking for a strong lead analyst who will help improve our data work, make our metrics even more accurate, and is willing to grow the team of analysts.

Now we have a lot of large tables (over 100 billion rows) that show the statistics of views of online broadcasts, chat activity and everything else that we can collect. Moreover, we have tools for fast work with data, a web interface for common tasks. Based on these statistics, we create many business metrics, which we then analyze. Although we currently make many predictions, we want to increase their range and accuracy. Examples of what we want to find out are who will be more famous in China in a year - OG or Liquid, how popular the tournament will be six months from now if the invited teams are already known to us.

You're relevant if:

— Experience in data analytics from 3 years.
— Deep understanding of SQL-like databases.
— Experience with R / Python for more than a year.
— Strong analytical skills — should analyze connections and dependencies, look for reasons for data correlation.
— Experience in team mentoring.

Will be a plus:

— Master's degree in technical specialty or economic cybernetics.
— Experience with ClickHouse, because 90% of the work will be with it.
— Experience with analytical and/or ML libraries — NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow.
— background in game development and/or viewing analytics.

What we will do with you every day:

— Prepare reports for partners based on ready-made database queries.
— Approximate the necessary values.
— Complete missing data.
— Work closely with the development team on scraping new data, understanding existing ones.
— Find insights and trends in the popularity of video content.

Benefits:

  • All the advantages of working in a small company: homelike atmosphere, informal attitude, mutual assistance.

  • Comfy office on the 24th floor and a convenient schedule (11-20).
  • Frequent teambuilding and other inner events.
